Well, have been in Barcelona for a couple of days now.-That's the surprise by the way ;)
It's incredibly beautiful and exciting...
The sun feels great and the city is full of art and little shops.
The honest truth is I knew this was going to be difficult, but wow.
Everything is so much more difficult by yourself. The first night here, I ran around the subway for an hour carrying fifty pounds on each arm. The worst was going up a flight of stairs, down, and up again. That was my work out for a while.
Diana, the landlord is very nice. Its great. We had a BBQ yesterday with her family. There was about twelve people and we had enough food to feed thirty. It was nice to be surrounded by good natured and fun loving people. The food was amaaaazzing! Almost worth the price of the plane ticket.
This morning, all set to go to work, I took the train across town to catch a bus, which I waited for half an hour. I didn't end up catching the bus or making to work. I did ran some errands as well.
I can't deny it, Barcelona is an amazing city. Around 1pm, everyone is outside eating at little shops. The sun feels amazing. The city is full of art. I love it, and I haven't even visited the beach yet.
Mostly, I miss the people I care about. Miss the things I care about. Things I know how to do. Miss feeling in control of my destiny and life.
It is amazing to me how people can do this, just uproot with no friends, no family. And go on to have an amazing time.
I am generally a positive person, and I don't like so show weakness to people, but that is not why I am writing this blog. Its for me. This is how I feel.
I know/hope everything works out :)
